The Latest Thing in Riding Lawn Mowers

||||
Up until a few years ago zero turn lawnmowers were primarily reserved for commercial operators. Mower manufacturers hadn't started producing models for the residential market. But that's all changed. As a result sales of these puppies are really booming.
Not only are they a blast to run, they cut the time it takes to cut the grass dramatically.
Now they're called zero turn lawnmowers because of their tight turning radius. Which all but eliminates that patch of grass left uncut by your typical riding lawn tractor when working around obstacles in the yard. If you've ever watched the guys on those zero turn commercial lawn mowers you know what I mean. There are none of those circles of uncut grass you have to catch with pass number two.
I guess you could say most of the time you're running zero turn lawnmowers you're cutting grass. Not trying to reach grass that was missed. Or making those all too common u-turns around trees and stuff to get it all. You know back and forthing around flower beds, trees and poles and such?
Besides that, you can really fly on one of these.
Basically you're riding on two independently controlled rear wheels. You control direction and speed with two handles. And if you're really good at it you can do tight donuts with zero turn lawnmowers.
Not only do the handle let you steer they also act as the throttle.
What's not to like? Well, there is one thing. The price. You do have to pony up some serious cash to get in the zero turn game. But if you're looking for a fun way to cut grass and don't need to do more than mow the lawn with it, zero turn lawnmowers may be just what the doctor ordered.
