ZTR Mower Reviews - Don't
|
||||
Key Selling Points: Exceptional maneuverability. Any ZTR mower reviews worth their salt will quickly point out that the claim to fame with these mowers is the ability to turn on a dime. Just like the pros you see cutting grass at office complexes, golf courses and the like. Which all but eliminates the need for a trim mower to clean up what your yard tractor can't reach.
Oh and did I mention they're fast? Well they are. Some are like 7 or 8 miles per hour fast.
Not only that, but most any ZTR riding mower is the most fun you can have while cutting the grass.
How It Works: A ZTR mower pivots on two independently controller rear wheels. Which you control, not with a steering wheel but with handles. Pull back on one while pushing the other forward allows you to do donuts in your lawn.
Pros: Most ZTR mower reviews rave about mowing time. And it's true that the best ZTR mowers can slash that by as much as half. Not only that, but ZTR lawn mowers are fun to drive and ideally suited for yards with lots of stuff to cut around like trees, shrubs, poles, and the like.
Cons: Cost. As the stickers above show they're not cheap. Not exactly intuitive to steer at first either - although you should have no problem getting the hang of. They typically lack the attachments that many expect with a lawn tractor like ability to tow a cart. Best for flat land mowing as they are prone to tipping on hilly terrain.
To Bottom Line It For You: If you've got at least an acre of relatively flat grass to cut with a lot of things to maneuver around then zero turn riding lawnmowers are ideal for you.
Most ZTR mower reviews will make recommendations. But given the variables involved, we'll leave it to you to get down to the nitty gritty of which brand and model of ZTR riding lawn mower is best for you.
